Find lessons
Let's help your family find the right swim instructor.
Tell us a bit about your child and your location, and our team will share information on qualified local instructors, programs, and any scholarship support that may be available.
Please read before requesting help
Swim Safe Start Strong is a referral and access organization — we do not give swim lessons ourselves. The instructors and programs we share information about are independent businesses or community programs. We do not employ, supervise, endorse, guarantee, or directly provide any lessons. Families are responsible for evaluating and choosing any instructor or program, including verifying credentials, certifications, insurance, and safety practices before enrolling a child.
Why start here
One request, organized information back.
Searching for a qualified instructor can be overwhelming — especially if you're also trying to figure out cost. We simplify the first step by gathering your needs once and connecting you with relevant, organized information.
Local options, organized
We share information on instructors and programs in your area based on what you tell us.
Scholarship awareness
If cost is a barrier, we'll flag scholarship opportunities you may want to explore alongside your request.
You choose, always
We never enroll your child for you — you decide which instructor or program is the right fit.

Good questions to ask
What to check before you enroll.
Credentials & certification
Ask about lifeguard/instructor certifications (e.g., Red Cross, YMCA), CPR/First Aid training, and any background screening the program requires.
Safety practices
Ask about supervision ratios, pool safety equipment, and what happens in an emergency.
References & reviews
Ask other parents about their experience, and don't hesitate to observe a class before enrolling your child.
